Candy Cane Lane
December 05, 2016
You know those classic Christmas movies where neighbors try to do "outdo" each others' holiday decorations? You can find exactly that at Candy Cane Lane in the Woodland Hills neighborhood, a thirty minute drive from Grafton on Sunset. For six decades homeowners in eight square blocks around Lubao and Oxnard Streets have gone all out, putting on the brightest, most electrifying displays of holiday cheer in Southern California. Unofficially, the lights turn on on the second Saturday of December. Some people cruise through without getting out of the car, but we recommend parking and walking around. (Tip: the closer it gets to Xmas Day the more the traffic stacks up.) Candy Cane Lane isn't Fifth Avenue, however, it's just as bright and not nearly as cold.
