Disney’s Aladdin the Musical Comes to L.A.

March 6 2018

New York City may be almost 3,000 miles away, but when it comes to seeing the best of Broadway, guests of the Grafton on Sunset might as well be staying in midst of the Big Apple’s famed theater district (albeit with much, much nicer weather, of course). Located less than 15 minutes by car from our hotel, the historic Hollywood Pantages Theatre has established itself as L.A.’s go-to venue for the biggest and best in live theatrical productions. Disney’s smash-hit The Lion King, with music by Elton John, Tim Rice, and Hans Zimmer, recently finished a wildly successful two-year run, and now that Disney magic is back (along with Rice and other musical heavyweights) with Aladdin the musical, through March 31. You and your loved ones will thrill at the antics of Aladdin, Agrabah’s loveable “street-rat,” as he outwits the nefarious court advisor Jafar and wins the love of Princess Jasmine. You’ll also be treated to all the songs that made you fall in love with original 1994 movie, plus a few new compositions that are just about guaranteed to make you fall in love all over again.
